Job summary

Department for Persons with Disabilities is hiring a Direct Support Professional/Overnight Residential Counselor to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our group homes. The role includes personal care, medication assistance, daily documentation, and occasional driving to programs.

Part time evening shifts are available (16 hours per week). We offer paid training, health benefits, life insurance, a 403B, and generous PTO.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Team-oriented with the residents' best interests in mind.
• Experience with ID/DD population is a plus.
• Must have CPR/First Aid knowledge and be able to meet physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist and supervise residents with personal care and daily activities.
• Administer and/or assist with medication administration.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers and residents.
• Drive residents to/from day programs using agency vehicles.
• Document services provided on a daily basis.
• Facilitate community-based activities for residents.
