Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly, and accurate service.
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Protect company assets through proper receipt and return of Direct Store Delivery products.
• Demonstrate and execute vendor receiving policies established by Food Lion.
• Work with vendors to resolve errors, policy violations or excess inventory.
• Coordinate with the Assistant Store Manager to ensure timely promotions by vendors.
• Ensure weekly merchandising notes are implemented promptly.
• Verify that DSD plan-o-grams are accurate.
• Account for daily and weekly DSD tickets, beer and wine invoices and file properly.
• Check EDI invoices to ensure no outstanding balances.
• Handle all reclaim and damages processes.
• Perform CAO stocking and rotate cigarette cartons as required.
• Understand and follow company guidelines, policies and standard practices.
• Comply with Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions; report accidents per procedures.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Wear Food Lion uniform with name badge; maintain neat appearance.
• Complete CBT and Training procedures as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
