Job summary

Alvin Community College is seeking instructors for its Continuing Education Workforce Development (CEWD) department to fill available assignments during the academic year. The position is part-time and limited to no more than 19 hours per week, with scheduling including days, evenings and/or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities include delivering instruction in drum, tote, and bulk filling operations, ensuring safe handling of liquids and PPE usage, and preparing students to operate filling

Qualifications

• Relevant industry experience in drum, tote, and bulk filling operations.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a related field.
• Knowledge of PPE, spill prevention, quality control, and workplace safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver instruction on drum, tote, and bulk filling operations in industrial environments.
• Teach proper setup, operation, monitoring, shutdown, and cleaning procedures for filling equipment.
• Instruct students on safe handling of liquids, chemicals, and other materials during filling and transfer operations.
• Teach proper use of PPE and safety procedures.
• Provide instruction on container inspection, labeling, and preparation prior to filling.
• Instruct on accurate filling, weighing, sampling, and verification of product quantities.
• Incorporate hands-on demonstrations and industry-based scenarios into instruction.
• Other duties as assigned.
