Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required and six months of program experience with children.
• Virginia State Licensing requires six months of experience supervising children during recreational or educational activities.
• Criminal and CPS background checks are required.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR for adults and infants within 30 days of hire.
• A negative TB test result is required before beginning work.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children’s recreation and help plan, organize, and maintain equipment and supplies.
• Provide facility and program information as needed and demonstrate good communication skills.
• Provide excellent customer service and meet the needs of customers.
• Perform other essential job functions as assigned by the department.
