Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers in Carrollton, GA is seeking a part-time Driver for our 1301 South Park St. location.

You will operate a 1½ ton truck, greet donors, and follow DMV and company guidelines to ensure timely pickups and deliveries. You may be cross-trained to support all areas of retail operations; hours average 20–25 weekly part-time, 30–40 full-time equivalents, with shifts Monday through Sunday.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or better.
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report.
• Previous commercial driving experience, preferred.
• Warehouse experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains vehicle logs and daily trip sheets according to all company procedures.
• Reports any mechanical problems, delays, accidents, and/or other traffic and transportation situations to leadership team.
• Loads and unloads trucks, vehicles, containers, and trailers by hand or with the use of a hand truck, lift gate, and/or pallet jack during pick-up and drop-offs.
• Conducts daily preventative maintenance checks, before, during and after operations, and adheres to all safety regulations.
• Cleans the inside of the assigned vehicle daily, and the outside, as needed.
• Report concerns to the leadership team immediately.
• Pads, stacks, and secures items in position on the truck to prevent damage during transit.
• Works other areas of the store as requested by the leadership team.
• You will be hired as a Driver, however, you will be cross-trained and expected to learn and work all areas of the retail operation.
