Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers, Carrollton, GA, is seeking a Driver for our Carrollton store. This part-time role involves operating a 1 ½ ton truck, greeting donors, and supporting multiple areas of the retail operation.

You will be cross-trained to learn all areas of the retail operation, with part-time hours averaging 20–25 per week and full-time 30–40 per week. A valid license, ability to lift up to 40 lbs, and a clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic math skills required.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report.
• Previous commercial driving experience preferred.
• Warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains vehicle logs and daily trip sheets according to all company procedures.
• Reports mechanical problems, delays, accidents, and/or other traffic and transportation situations to leadership team.
• Loads and unloads trucks, vehicles, containers, and trailers by hand or with a hand truck, lift gate, and/or pallet jack during pick-up and drop-offs.
• Conducts daily preventative maintenance checks, before, during and after operations, and adheres to all safety regulations.
• Cleans the inside of the assigned vehicle daily, and the outside, as needed.
• Report concerns to the leadership team immediately.
• Pads, stacks, and secures items in position on the truck to prevent damage during transit.
• Works other areas of the store as requested by the leadership team.
• You will be cross-trained and expected to learn and work all areas of the retail operation.

The Carrolltonretail store, located at 1301 South Park St., is currently looking for a hard-working and dedicated Driver.

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers, Inc.’s Driver responsibilities:

• Maintains vehicle logs and daily trip sheets according to all company procedures.

You will be hired as a Driver, however, you will be cross-trained and expected to learn and work all areas of the retail operation.

A part-time position averages 20-25 hours per week and full time averages 30 -40 hours per week. Hours will fluctuate based on business needs (i.e., seasonal changes, donation volumes, etc.) Operating days will fluctuate based on store location. The Driver must be available to work any shifts Monday through Sunday.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report
• Previous commercial driving experience, preferred.
• Warehouse experience, preferred.
