Job summary

Boston Beer Corporation in Boston, MA is seeking a part-time Security Door Staff for the Sam Adams Downtown Taproom. You will provide direct security to staff, guests, and brewery assets while promoting a safe, welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include welcoming guests, enforcing policies, preventing entry of intoxicated patrons or minors, monitoring crowd flow, and following the security plan. Pay starts at $21.50 per hour with perks and benefits described by the team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• CPR/First Aid Certified desired.
• Active Guard Card Certification (within 6 months of start date - California only).
• Previous security/door staff experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and serve as the first and last impression of the brewery.
• Identify and address potential safety risks with management.
• Ensure compliance with CUP and local laws at all times.
• Prevent entry of intoxicated persons or unaccompanied minors.
• Maintain street area cleanliness and direct vendors/performers to proper locations.
• Remove disruptive guests with good judgment and professionalism.
• Track guest entries/exits; manage door capacity and waits.
• Greet guests with reservations or events and notify the Manager on duty.
• Follow all steps of the security plan.
