Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers, Inc. Opelika store is seeking a part-time Retail Associate – Donor Door Greeter. You will greet donors, process donations, and assist customers while maintaining accurate records with a handheld device.

Cross-training across retail operations is expected, with shifts Monday through Sunday. The role offers 20–25 hours per week, with hours fluctuating by season and store needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or customer service is preferred.
• Ability to use a handheld electronic device.
• Comfort with lifting up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greets donors quickly and provides excellent customer service.
• Receives donated goods from donors and logs them using a handheld device.
• Provides receipts to donors and maintains accurate donation records.
• Organizes donations into bins to assist processing.
• Performs general housekeeping and keeps work area clean.
• Assists truck drivers with loading/unloading donations.
• Learn and work across all areas of the retail operation.
