Job summary

BioLife in Janesville, WI seeks part-time plasma donor screener/phlebotomist. Most shifts are 4–6 hours, 3+ days per week. Availability confirmed early in interview; reliability during scheduled hours is valued. Donor interactions and safety are paramount.

You will screen donors, record vital signs, use the Donor Information System, and coordinate donor compensation. Shifts include weekends and holidays; BioLife offers comprehensive benefits and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
• Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
• Ability to lift to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and hearing from a distance.
• Exposure to bloodborne pathogens; prolonged glove wear.
• 1+ year experience in a customer or patient-facing role is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, greet donors, and focus on donor safety and service.
• Screen new and repeat donors and record donor vital signs and finger stick results.
• Use Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain records, and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes per procedures.
• Work various shifts including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
