Job summary

Montana Historical Society seeks a Development & Grants Coordinator to manage donor data, process gifts, and support fundraising strategy. This role works closely with the Public Relations & Development team to ensure accurate records, timely acknowledgements, and effective donor communication.

The Coordinator will prepare reports, assist with grants, and help plan campaigns while maintaining attention to detail and professional interactions with donors and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, communications, or related field.
• Two years of experience in fundraising, development, or a related field.
• Strong working knowledge of fundraising principles and donor stewardship.
• Experience with donor databases and data entry, reporting, and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain donor records, gifts, and interaction notes in the donor database.
• Process charitable gifts, track pledges, and generate reports for planning.
• Coordinate donor cultivation and stewardship activities and communications.
• Support grant research, writing, and reporting as needed.
• Collaborate with Fiscal Office to reconcile donor data and ensure accuracy.
