Job summary

Houston SPCA is seeking a Part-Time Database & Donor Services Assistant to join our Development team in Houston, TX. This role focuses on data accuracy, donor communications, and supporting fundraising efforts.

You will handle donations, maintain donor records, and assist with reporting and events, ensuring confidentiality and exceptional donor service. This position is on-site and part-time, with a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of related administrative, customer service, database, or office experience.
• Strong typing, data entry, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and internet research.
• Experience with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process donations received through mail, online platforms, phone calls, and in-person transactions.
• Maintain accurate donor and constituent records within our fundraising database.
• Enter, update, and verify donor information while ensuring database integrity.
• Acknowledge gifts promptly and professionally.
• Research and resolve donation and reconciliation discrepancies.
• Generate donor lists, reports, and mailing exports to support fundraising initiatives.
• Assist with donor stewardship, recognition programs, and special fundraising projects.
• Conduct prospect research on individuals, corporations, and foundations.
• Serve as a friendly first point of contact for donor inquiries by phone, email, and mail.
• Assist with event invitation lists, mailings, and donor correspondence.
