Job Summary

Department-Specific Responsibilities

• Washes dishes, flatware, pots, and/or pans using dishwashers or by hand.
• Rinses and scrapes all used dishware and cookware.
• Washes items by hand (large pots, cutting boards, etc.).
• Rinses and returns IU Dining food containers and serving utensils to IU Dining bins.
• Adheres to all hygiene, cleanliness, and safety requirements.
• Cleans and sanitizes sinks, and other kitchen areas (carts, microwave, and counters).
• Stores clean dishes and cups properly.
• Cleans work areas; mops and cleans floors.
• Maintains awareness of supplies levels and informs supervisor when supplies are low.
