Qualifications

• Professional driving experience preferred
• A valid state-issued driver’s license
• A desire to assist individuals with developmental disabilities and other challenges
• Successfully complete all required training within 60 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Safely drives vehicle from homes of persons served or central loading area to destination, according to assigned schedule
• Secures passengers‘ wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip
• Ensures that all passengers make use of their seatbelts and assures the safety of individuals being transported
• Safely operates cellular phone to communicate with base station or other vehicles to report disruption of service
• Keeps records of trips and behavior of passengers
• Cleans and services vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories
• Participates in organizational or departmental committees and meetings, as appropriate
• Adheres to all St. Coletta organizational and departmental policies and procedures
