Job summary

St. Coletta of Wisconsin in Jefferson, WI is seeking a Part-Time Driver to safely transport program participants between homes, loading areas, and destinations according to the scheduled route. You will help secure wheelchairs and ensure passenger safety throughout each trip.

You will also document trips, maintain vehicle readiness, and participate in team meetings while upholding all policies. This role supports personal growth for individuals served in a caring, community-focused program.

Qualifications

• Professional driving experience preferred, 18 years of age or older.
• A valid state-issued driver’s license with a driving record that meets our requirements.
• A desire to assist individuals with developmental disabilities and other challenges in their personal growth.
• Successfully complete all required training within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives vehicle from homes of persons served or central loading area to destination, according to assigned schedule.
• Secures passengers‘ wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip.
• Ensures that all passengers make use of their seatbelts and assures the safety of individuals being transported.
• Safely operates cellular phone to communicate with base station or other vehicles to report disruption of service.
• Keeps records of trips and behavior of passengers.
• Cleans and services vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
• Participates in organizational or departmental committees and meetings, as appropriate.
• Adheres to all St. Coletta organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
