Job summary

St Coletta of Wisconsin is seeking a Part-Time Driver for our Jefferson, WI programs. The role covers Jefferson and surrounding areas with a schedule that supports individuals served, starting pay of $17.00/hr. Key responsibilities include safely transporting individuals, securing wheelchairs, ensuring seatbelt use, and maintaining trip records.

Training is provided within the first 60 days of hire. A valid driver’s license and willingness to assist individuals with developmental disabilities

Qualifications

Professional driving experience preferred, 18 years of age or older.
A valid state-issued driver’s license with a driving record that meets requirements.
A desire to assist individuals with developmental disabilities and other challenges in their personal growth.
Successfully complete all required training within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Safely drives vehicle from homes to destination, according to assigned schedule.
Secures passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip.
Ensures that all passengers use seatbelts and maintains safety of transported individuals.
Safely operate cellular phone to communicate with base or other vehicles to report disruption of service.
Keeps records of trips and behavior of passengers.
Cleans and services vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
Participates in organizational or departmental committees and meetings.
Adheres to all St. Coletta organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
