Job summary

Access Services is seeking a caring and patient Part-Time DSP to support adults with developmental disabilities in Lehighton and Tamaqua. You will provide individualized supports based on each person’s needs, interests, and goals, with paid training provided and opportunities to grow within the organization.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, safety, documentation, and community engagement. A valid driver’s license and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of direct care experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities preferred.
• Background checks, medical exam, and driving history record required.
• Ability to learn and use workplace technologies and documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes or community activities.
• Provide supports per the plan of care, using approved interventions and positive reinforcement.
• Maintain case notes and document outcomes for individuals served.
• Participate in supervision, training, and ongoing professional development.
