Job summary

Department for Persons with Disabilities (DPD) seeks a Direct Support Professional/Residential Counselor (DSP) for a part-time 23.5-hour schedule in New Jersey. You will assist residents with daily living tasks, provide personal care and supervision, and help with documentation and medication administration.

The role requires HS diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, CPR/First Aid training, and the ability to work in a team. Benefits include paid training and health coverage.

Responsibilities

• Residential Counselor helps meet personal health, safety and welfare of residents
• Assist/supervise individuals in personal care, cleaning, cooking and life skills
• Administer and/or assist with medication administration
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers and residents
• Drive residents using agency vehicles
• Daily documentation of services
• Assist with community-based activities
