Job summary

The Department for Persons with Disabilities (DPD) is seeking a dedicated Direct Support Professional/Overnight Residential Counselor for a part-time overnight shift in New Jersey. You will assist residents with personal care, medication administration, and daily living activities in a group home setting.

Responsibilities include documenting services, coordinating transportation, and supporting residents in community-based activities.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with ID/DD population a plus.
• Must have valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Help meet the personal health, safety and welfare of residents in the group home.
• Assist with bathing/toileting; participate in cleaning, cooking and life skills.
• Administer and/or assist with medication administration.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers and residents.
• Drive residents to/from day programs and community activities using agency vehicles.
• Daily documentation of services provided.
• Assist with community-based activities.
