Job summary

Catholic Charities is seeking compassionate individuals to join our Department for Persons with Disabilities (DPD) as Direct Support Professionals in Wayne, NJ. This part-time role supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential settings, providing daily living assistance and supervision.

The position offers regular pay with scheduled weekend coverage, on-the-job training, and benefits for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in caregiving or ID/DD population is a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families and staff.
• Must meet physical requirements and be able to perform CPR/First Aid procedures? (as per job requirements)

Responsibilities

• Help meet residents' personal health, safety and welfare.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, personal care tasks and daily living activities.
• Assist with medication administration as directed.
• Drive residents to programs and activities using agency vehicles.
• Document services provided daily.
• Support residents in community-based activities.
