Job summary

Heritage Homes, Inc. in Grand Haven, MI is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for a part-time 2nd shift (2PM–10PM).

The role involves assisting with daily living, medication administration (training provided), and promoting independence for residents with developmental or intellectual disabilities in group homes. Responsibilities include health monitoring, safety, community involvement, and building supportive relationships, with training and certifications paid by the employer.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and TB test.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care, hygiene and medication administration (with training).
• Monitoring health and ensuring safety.
• Supporting involvement in community and in-home activities.
• Developing a rapport with residents, cultivating a safe and supportive relationship.
• Assisting the residents in meeting health, safety, community inclusion, occupational therapy, and behavior goals as identified in individual plans of service and OT/PT plans.
