Job summary

University of North Dakota is seeking a part-time Dining Services Student Employee. The role involves cleaning and sanitizing dining facilities, stocking supplies, and providing excellent customer service. It is non-benefited, requires eligibility verification, and is limited to UND students.

Work is on-site with no remote option; typical hours are 10–20 per week, at $15.00 per hour. Must adhere to food safety rules and be able to stand for several hours. This position does not sponsor visas.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand for 3–4 hours.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to handle and prepare meat products in a commercial kitchen.
• Compliance with all food safety and sanitation requirements including taking out jewelry and wearing a hairnet.

Responsibilities

• Cleans floors in the kitchen, service areas, restrooms, storerooms, and dining rooms.
• Uses mops and floor machines as required.
• Sweeps appropriate areas when needed.
• Breaks down cans and boxes and places them in the appropriate bins.
• Cleans up broken plates, glassware, and cookware.
• Replaces and restocks milks when needed.
• Removes refuse from dining center areas.
• Cleans carts, tables and chairs.
• Rinses and sanitizes garbage cans.
• Maintains orderliness of storerooms, coolers and freezers.
• Stocks inventory items in kitchen, restrooms and dining rooms: fills soap and towel dispensers and replaces light bulbs.
• Provide exceptional customer service to our customers.
