Job summary

Chatham Ridge, a community of Navion Senior Living, is seeking part-time servers to assist in meal preparation, oversight, and serving for residents. You will deliver high-quality food service in a caring, patient-focused environment.

Responsibilities include preparing and portioning meals, following food safety standards, keeping food at correct temperatures, and communicating warmly with residents and families.

Qualifications

• Must possess, at a minimum, a 10th grade education.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Be able to interpret and implement written or oral policies, procedures, and instructions.
• Possess the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
• Communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and/or pre-portions food for regular and therapeutic diets according to the planned menu and production sheets.
• Handles food using proper food handling and food safety techniques.
• Ensures that food is served in an attractive, appetizing manner and maintains quality standards.
• Maintains the proper temperature of food during preparation and service; records temperatures.
• Communicates well with patients/residents/clients and families with a warm, friendly demeanor.
