Job summary

MBK Senior Living is hiring a PT Server to deliver high-quality dining service in a warm, resident-focused environment. You will take orders, serve meals, and ensure dining areas are clean and inviting in a courteous, professional manner.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and the ability to communicate effectively in English. The role supports a flexible schedule with opportunities for development within MBK Senior Living.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak, write, understand, and read English.
• Must be 18 years or older or have a proper work permit and authorization documentation.
• Must complete required Background clearances, health screening, and provide negative TB test results within 7 days of employment (must be within the last 6 months).
• Basic counting skills as required by the position (tracking meals/residents, etc.).
• Must be able to operate standard serving equipment (salad bar/heating cart, trays, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional dining service by taking accurate food orders and serving meals to residents, family members, and guests.
• Uphold a high standard of table etiquette by serving from the left, clearing dishes between courses, and resetting tables.
• Engage with residents in a friendly and courteous manner, assisting with meal and menu selections.
• Review and adhere to residents’ dietary needs, restrictions, and preferences as outlined by the Supervisor.
• Create a welcoming atmosphere by greeting and seating residents, including integrating new residents.
• Deliver meals to and retrieve trays from residents’ rooms as required.
• Ensure a clean, sanitary dining area and comply with food safety handling protocols.
• Assist with breaking down deliveries, stocking supplies, and supporting kitchen/dining services.
• Follow grooming and dress standards and participate in community marketing efforts.
• Report safety or equipment issues to the Supervisor promptly.
