Job summary

Harmony Senior Services, LLC seeks a part-time Cook to prepare meals per approved menus, ensuring dietary needs are met for residents. You will supervise dietary staff when the Dining Services Director is unavailable and maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment

Responsibilities include recording food temperatures, monitoring temperatures and maintaining proper storage, and assisting with training new staff while adapting menus as needed under supervision.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in dining services.
• Serv-Safe certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire.
• Basic understanding of food service operations and sanitation.
• Ability to read, write, and perform simple calculations.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift 50 lbs.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present menu items according to recipes.
• Maintain a clean, orderly kitchen and follow safety practices.
• Supervise dietary staff when Dining Services Director is absent.
• Record temperatures and monitor refrigeration as required.
• Assist in training new dietary employees.
• Work with residents' dietary needs and substitutions with supervisor approval.
