Job summary

Computer-Systems-Institute in Lombard, IL seeks a part-time Adjunct Instructor for the Digital Multimedia concentration to deliver approved curricula across Graphic Design, Webpage Markup I/II, Webpage Styling, Image Processing I/II, Web Content Management, and SEO/SMO.

You will plan lessons, deliver lectures, facilitate project-based learning, support students, and monitor progress while maintaining records and participating in campus instruction meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a field related to computer and information science, digital media, graphic design, digital design, programming or similar fields.
• If the degree is not in related fields, candidates with at least two years of related work experience or evidence of specialized training may be considered.
• Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Dreamweaver, and other media editing software.
• Familiarity with web design and content management systems.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to 27.5 hours per week.
• Prepare lesson plans for each class session.
• Deliver lectures and facilitate Project-Based Learning (PBL).
• Assist students in the learning process.
• Evaluate and monitor student progress using various assessment tools.
• Keep records to report SAP to the Academic Dean/Program Manager.
• Attend quarterly instructor in-service meetings and participate in campus activities.
• Stay informed with teaching advancements via professional development.
• Organize and lead field outings for student enrichment per module.
• Contribute to program improvement through committee involvement.
• Provide academic advising to support student growth and retention.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.
