Job summary

Computer-Systems-Institute is seeking a part-time Adjunct Instructor for the Finance Program in Lombard, IL. You will teach a range of finance courses, develop plans, deliver engaging lectures, and guide students through projects and assessments.

Responsibilities include lesson planning, SAP reporting, and active participation in program improvement and professional development, with on-site campus commitments and student advising opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field.
• If degree is not in finance-related field, at least two years of related work experience or specialized training may be considered.
• Ability to plan, deliver and assess instruction for adults.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in Investment Concepts, Legal and Ethical Considerations for Business, Business Financial Concepts, International Finance, Business Information Systems, Costs and Budgeting.
• Teach up to 27.5 hours per week and prepare lesson plans for each class session.
• Deliver lectures and facilitate Project-Based Learning (PBL).
• Assist students in the learning process and evaluate progress with assessments.
• Keep records to report SAP to the Academic Dean/Program Manager.
• Attend quarterly campus-wide instructor in-service meetings.
• Engage in professional development and stay current with teaching advancements.
• Organize and lead field outings for student enrichment each module.
• Contribute to program improvement via committee involvement.
• Provide academic advising to support student growth and retention.

Education

Bachelor's or higher in finance/economics or related field

2+ years related work experience or specialized training
