Job summary

Metcalfe Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a Part Time Registered Dietitian to join our skilled nursing facility team. The ideal candidate will be organized, interested in management tracks, and dedicated to high-quality care.

The role includes conducting nutrition assessments, providing education to residents and families, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to optimize care plans and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current state dietetic licensure is required.
• CDR credentials are required or preferred.
• Responsible and compassionate with outstanding organizational and communication skills.
• Experience supervising kitchen staff in a nursing home setting is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Interview residents and/or families to complete nutritional assessments.
• Provide diet education to residents and families as needed.
• Attend care plan meetings to collaborate care with the resident, families, and the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Facilitate weight processes, monitor for weight changes, and report at weekly at-risk meetings.
• Assess and recommend nutrition interventions related to wounds, tube feeding, and dialysis.
