Job summary

Apploi is seeking a part-time cook for Pearl of Rolling Meadows to support the Dietary Department. You will prepare meals, supervise staff when needed, and ensure timely service while upholding sanitation and safety standards.

Under the Dietary Manager's direction, you will follow recipes, monitor temperatures, manage inventory, and assist with staff coordination. Flexibility and ServSafe credentials are valued; training will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• High School or Culinary Tech graduate.
• Ability to read, understand and follow recipes, production sheets counts, diet orders, tray tickets and all employee work responsibilities and flows.
• Understand after training on computer software system for resident information and preferences.
• Must be ServSafe certified or able to earn within the first 90 days of starting.

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of the Dietary Manager.
• Prepare and portions hot and cold menu items according to proper menu and recipe as noted on the production sheet counts.
• Serve Resident meals according to the correct meal service times.
• Track inventory and communicate to the Dietary Manager for low supplies or place orders for needed items.
• Maintain highest sanitation standards as required by state health regulations.
