Lansdowne Village in St. Louis is seeking a compassionate Dietary Cook to join our senior living team. This part-time role supports residents with nutritious meals and adheres to safety and infection prevention guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Must maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication.
• Facility operates 24 hours a day; schedules and hours may vary.

Responsabilités

• Review planned menus to determine types and quantities of meats, vegetables, and soups and prepare accordingly.
• Determine amounts of food needed to meet weekly menus and submit orders to Dietary Manager.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and notify Dietary Manager of shortages or discrepancies.
• Consult with Dietary Manager on use of leftovers, storage, and labeling.
• Supervise dietary workers during washing, trimming, or preparation of food.
• Train and orient new dietary staff and assist in supervision.
• Prepare meals according to approved recipes and ensure proper temperatures.
• Observe infection prevention and control practices and keep kitchen clean and organized.
• Contribute to resident care ensuring safety and reducing healthcare errors.
