Job summary

Steelville Care & Rehab Center is seeking a compassionate Dietary Cook to prepare meals according to planned menus, manage inventory, and work with the Dietary Supervisor to ensure nutrition and safety standards in a supportive senior living environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year of experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review planned menus to determine types/quantities of meats, vegetables, and soups.
• Submit weekly food quantities and orders to Dietary Supervisor.
• Maintain perpetual supplies inventory and report shortages.
• Work with Dietitian on modified diets and supervise staff during food prep.
• Ensure food safety, proper temperatures, and infection prevention practices.
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and support resident safety.
