Job summary

Hill Valley Healthcare is seeking a part-time Dietary Cook to prepare meals for residents, supervise dietary functions, and ensure meals meet nutritional and presentation standards. You will help with tray service, cleanliness, and recording duties, contributing to a well-organized kitchen and positive dining experiences.

The role emphasizes adherence to special diets, efficient food production, and teamwork within the Dietary department to support residents' wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience in preparing meals for large quantities and special diets.
• Ability to read and write English; strong organizational skills.
• Knowledge of food safety and kitchen sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise kitchen operations in the absence of the manager.
• Receive meal reports and coordinate food and supply requirements.
• Adhere to special diet orders and use approved substitutions.
• Follow food production plans to ensure quality and presentation.
• Plan, prepare, and serve meals in coordination with meal times.
• Keep accurate records as directed to ensure seamless operations.
