Essential Functions of Dietary Aide:
- Prepare food trays for general and therapeutic diets
- Prepare and deliver items as requested by residents or care units
- Maintain tray line in a clean, neat, and organized manner
- Prepare special diet foods as necessary
- Deliver food carts to patient care units and return them to the kitchen
- Oversee dishwashers and log wash/rinse temperatures
- Wash specified items by hand, such as pots, pans, and knives
- Dispose of trash properly
- Put away clean dishes and utensils
- Mop floors as scheduled and needed
- Clean refrigerators and storage areas, log temperatures, and handle food supplies
- Assist in preparing salads, desserts, and other nourishments
- Perform cleaning duties as assigned
- Maintain good relationships within the department and with other departments
- Treat residents and guests with respect and dignity
- Observe infection prevention and control practices
- Participate in departmental performance improvement activities
- Ensure resident safety and reduce healthcare errors
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- 1 year of experience preferred
- Maintain a working email and phone number for communication
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Professional demeanor and good communication skills
- Good ethical practices and confidentiality
