Job summary

• Seniors or grad students preferred in business, communications, public relations, nonprofit management or event management.
• Experience or interest in promotion, sales, or fundraising.
• Comfort with vendor outreach via phone and email.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication with community leaders, volunteers, and staff.
• Proficient in multiple social media platforms.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Canva.
• Reliable WiFi and transportation required.
• Minimum availability of 20 hrs/wk, M-F 8:30am-4:30pm.
• US work authorization without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Support Development Team with planning and implementation of fundraising campaigns, donor stewardship, and volunteer engagement activities, including Go Red for Women, Heart Walk, and Heart of Houston.
• Conduct prospect research and compile information on potential corporate and community partners.
• Assist with data entry, report generation, and record maintenance in Salesforce, Tableau, and other fundraising systems.
• Prepare meeting materials, presentations, and campaign collateral to support fundraising initiatives.
• Provide administrative support for volunteer committees, including meeting preparation, scheduling, and follow-up.
• Assist with outreach and communications to volunteers, sponsors, and community partners as directed by development staff.
• Assist in developing and updating marketing materials for campaigns including save the dates, invitations, volunteer rosters, and other needed collateral to assist in campaign promotion.
• Support the development of print, TV and social media content.
• Provide support for special events and campaign activities, including pre-event preparation and post-event follow-up.
