Job summary

Casella Waste Systems, Inc. is seeking a part-time Depot Attendant in Richmond, VT. The role supports recycling/transfer station operations, performs light to heavy labor tasks, and helps with yard work, fueling, and general site duties.

The position runs Saturdays from 7am to 4:30pm, pays $18–$21 per hour, is non-benefitted, and requires a high school diploma or GED plus a valid driver’s license. Prior heavy equipment experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains solid waste station machinery such as compactors.
• Maintains facility by sweeping, cleaning and picking up around stations and facilities.
• Keeps basic records on vehicles, containers loaded, and equipment performance.
• Maintains a safe environment for employees and customers.
• Assists customers with unloading trash.
• Inspects loads for safety and compliance.
• Loads trash into semi-trailers using heavy equipment.
• Participates in ongoing training and company initiatives.
