Job summary

The Depot Attendant at Casella Waste Systems, Inc. assists at the Recycling/Transfer station in Richmond, VT, performing general labor, yard clean-up, fueling vehicles and equipment, and safe operation of the site.

This part-time, Saturdays-only role runs 7am to 4:30pm and is non-benefitted. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work in a team; heavy equipment operation experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of heavy equipment operation experience preferred; must be legally eligible to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains station machinery such as compactors.
• Maintains facility cleanliness and safety; sweeps floors and handles yard work.
• Assists customers with unloading their trash; inspects loads for safety.
• Loads recyclables and trash; uses heavy equipment for material handling.
