Job summary

Anne Arundel Community College is seeking a Part-Time Clinical Dental Hygienist Instructor to support clinical education and student training in the dental hygiene clinic on the Arnold/Main Campus.

Responsibilities include supervising students during patient treatment, reinforcing instrumentation techniques, and ensuring infection control and safety protocols are followed. Maryland licensure, local anesthesia and nitrous certification, and CPR/BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Current Maryland Dental Hygiene license; local anesthesia and nitrous oxide certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor dental hygiene students in a clinical setting.
• Provide hands-on training in dental hygiene procedures and patient education.
• Ensure infection control and OSHA/HIPAA compliance; maintain clinical standards.
• Assess and document student performance and competency.
• Collaborate with faculty to schedule clinics and support curriculum.
