Wexford Health Sources, Inc. is seeking a part‑time Dental Assistant to support the Guadalupe Correctional Facility dental clinic in Santa Rosa, NM. You will assist the dentist, prepare patients, and help maintain a clean, organized environment to keep patient care moving smoothly.

The role emphasizes clinical support, radiography, records management, and inventory control while ensuring safety and compliance in a correctional setting.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is required.
• Experience in a dental setting is preferred.
• Expanded Functions or CDA Certification required or equivalent.
• Dental Radiology Certification required (if not already included).
• High School diploma or GED required.
• EMR familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentist chair‑side during exams and procedures.
• Prepare patients for treatment and support dental hygiene education.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards.
• Set up and break down treatment areas and equipment.
• Take and process intra‑oral x‑rays as permitted.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the EMR system.
• Manage dental supplies, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
• Support dental sick calls and emergency screenings.
• Ensure the clinic remains clean, stocked, and ready for daily operations.
