Wexford Health Sources, Inc. seeks a part-time Dental Assistant to support the Martinsburg Correctional Center in Martinsburg, WV.

This 10-hour-per-week role (Thursday 8am–6pm) involves chair-side assistance, patient prep, infection-control, instrument sterilization, and tray setup, plus basic charting and radiography as permitted. Under the Dentist supervision, you’ll help maintain a clean, efficient clinic and contribute to a positive patient experience in a correctional health care setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience working in a dental setting and/or correctional health care preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• Dental certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist chair-side during exams and procedures.
• Prepare patients for treatment and support dental hygiene education.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards.
• Set up and break down treatment areas and equipment.
• Take and process intra-oral x-rays as permitted.
• Maintain accurate patient records within the medical record system.
• Manage dental supplies, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
• Support dental sick call and emergency screenings.
• Ensure the dental clinic remains clean, stocked, and ready for daily operations.
