Job summary

Corvallis-Benton Bounty Public Library is seeking a part-time Library Specialist II to support delivery services and front-line patron assistance. The role involves processing and circulating library materials, coordinating deliveries, and providing courteous customer service at the desk or remotely, as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of customer service, clerical or library experience.
• Knowledge of library operations and circulation processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and respond to patron emails, addressing needs and resolving issues.
• May work the circulation desk at any branch.
• Make decisions about service delivery including weather and vehicle safety.
• Staff the circulation desk and manage cards, holds, fees, and checkouts.
• Provide system-wide delivery service including sorting, packing and loading.
• Operate and drive library vehicles safely when delivering materials.
• May deliver or support delivery of patron programs and meeting room setup.
