Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a part-time Deli Associate at our Martin's Super Markets location in South Bend, IN. The role involves preparing, labeling, merchandising, and stocking deli products, while ensuring guest experience and safety guidelines are followed.

Candidates should have a high school diploma ( GED preferred ), up to one year of retail or related experience, basic math and literacy skills, and be detail oriented. Travel and lifting up to 30-50 pounds may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• One year of retail experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce deli products to Production Planner.
• Package and label deli products per program plan.
• Merchandise deli products per flight plan/merchandising expectations.
• Stock backroom with deli products – rotating and dating cases/buckets.
• Notify the Deli Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Follow PPE and safety guidelines and food safety expectations.
• Communicate tasks, recipes, weights and measures, and cleaning steps completed to other associates.
