99 Ranch Market in Foster City, CA is seeking a Hot Deli Clerk for a part-time role. You will assist in preparation of all food items, manage stock, and maintain a clean production area while ensuring food safety and OSHA compliance. You will interact with customers, handle checkout duties, and support promotional displays as needed.

The position offers part-time hours, with a pay range of $17/Hr. to $19/Hr. and benefits including medical insurance, a 401(k) with 4% match, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen, deli, restaurant, or customer service.
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
• Knowledge of ingredients, vegetables, and meats in the department.
• Familiarity with CAL-OSHA safety practices in dishwashing chemicals (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of food items, washing, cutting, weighing as needed.
• Assist in stock transfer to/from cold or dry storage.
• Monitor expiration dates and rotate stock accordingly.
• Maintain cleanliness of the food production area and equipment.
• Follow food safety practices and OSHA guidelines.
• Handle expired/recalled products per policy.
• Set up displays, label shelf tags, and keep refrigerators stocked.
• Assist customers with orders and payments.
• Perform other duties as required by the business needs.
