Job summary

Military Deli & Bakery Services, Inc. is hiring a part-time Deli Bakery Associate to serve military personnel and families at one of its 103 US Military Commissary locations. You will slice meats, assemble sandwiches, prep party trays, stock displays, and maintain sanitation in a fast-paced environment.

Cross-training in bakery and deli tasks is available, with weekend shifts and promotional growth opportunities. Legal eligibility and physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Cross-train in bakery and deli tasks as needed.
• Effective and friendly communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math and ability to follow written guidelines.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Stand and walk for long periods; work in freezers up to 20 minutes at a time.

Responsibilities

• Slice deli meats and cheeses to customer requests.
• Prepare custom party trays and sandwiches.
• Stock and organize displays; assist with shipments.
• Ensure sanitation of the department and proper food handling.
• Assist with cake decorating, baking, rotisserie chicken prep, or other deli/bakery tasks as needed.
