Job summary

Military Deli & Bakery Services, Inc. is seeking a Deli Bakery Associate with baking experience to join our team at one of our US Military Commissary locations.

This is a part-time position offering up to 29 hours per week, with shifts from 6am to 2pm, and opportunities to grow within the company while serving military families. You will prepare, bake, package, and display bakery items, maintain sanitation, and deliver friendly customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Experience in retail baking.
• Knowledge of frozen dough.
• Willing to cross-train in deli tasks.
• Effective and friendly communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math and ability to follow written guidelines.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the ability to utilize commercial ovens.
• Prepare, process, package, and label bakery products.
• Inspect bakery products for quality and freshness; rotate display items.
• Maintain sanitation and proper food handling standards.
• Provide enthusiastic customer service and work as part of a team.
• Cross-train in deli tasks as needed.
