Job summary

UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL is seeking a part-time registered nurse to provide patient care and counseling, using the nursing process to promote health and prevent illness. Responsibilities include data collection, assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation with a focus on AACN Synergy Model.

You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team in a cost-effective manner and must hold a current RN license; BLS is required, ACLS/PALS may be needed depending on unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required.
• RN licensure by the Alabama Board of Nursing required (or eligible).
• BLS from the American Heart Association required or to be obtained within 30 days.
• ACLS and/or PALS may be required depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care and counseling using the nursing process.
• Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, podiatrist, and dentist as needed.
• Coordinate and delegate nursing care to patient and family while ensuring cost-effective care.
