Job summary

Oro Valley Hospital is seeking a Radiology Assistant to support the daily imaging department operations. You will assist technologists, prepare patients for procedures, maintain equipment and supplies, and perform basic admin duties to ensure smooth workflow and high-quality patient care.

Required flexibility for part-time day shift; 1–2 years in a clinical or imaging setting preferred. BCLS within 30 days, with CNA/CMA/CPCA/CPCT/EMT/LPN endorsements preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a clinical or imaging setting preferred.
• BCLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Familiarity with infection prevention and safety procedures.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for imaging procedures by verifying identification and screening for allergies and contrast.
• Assists with room turnover, equipment cleaning, and exam preparation using infection control practices.
• Supports contrast-related procedures by preparing supplies and injectors under supervision; follows safety protocols.
• Maintains awareness of MRI zone safety, ferrous object restrictions, ALARA, and emergency procedures.
• Keeps stock of supplies and equipment, orders, and organizes materials to support daily operations.
• Performs basic administrative duties: chart prep, order entry, record retrieval, and phone communication.
• Supports patient transport, transfers, and discharge as directed by imaging or nursing staff.
• Participates in remote support workflows and telemedicine positioning where applicable.
• Communicates issues to supervisors regarding patient care, safety, or equipment.
