Job summary

Alvin Community College seeks a part-time Data Specialist for the Strengthening Community Colleges Grant Round 5 (SCC5). The role supports data collection and evaluation design to ensure reporting requirements are met, with a schedule not to exceed 19 hours per week.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field and at least one year of experience in institutional research or grant-related data collection.

• One year experience in institutional research or grant-related data collection.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the Evaluation design of the grant project.
• Review grant details for data needs and compliance issues
• Prepare and distribute reporting framework and timetable.
• Work effectively with the grant Project Manager to ensure data collection meets reporting requirements.
• Work with the Project Manager and Director of Institutional Research to ensure that all data is collected as required.
• Prepare reports in partnership with programming staff.
• Assist in collecting, evaluating, and analyzing data for established goals.
• Assist in developing statistical reports as required by the grant provider.
• Other duties as assigned.
