Ampersand Therapy is seeking a Developmental Adapted Physical Education Teacher (DAPE) in Fridley, MN. This part-time, 20-hour-per-week role supports school-based students through individualized APE goals and inclusive practice.

Qualifications

• DAPE license through PELSB (Tier 3 or 4) is required.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Physical Education or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop individualized adapted physical education (APE) goals aligned with students' IEPs.
• Plan and teach modified physical activities that improve motor skills, coordination, strength, and fitness.
• Adapt equipment, games, and instruction so students can safely and successfully participate.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to support students' physical development and inclusion.
• Monitor student progress, document outcomes, and adjust instruction to help students meet their goals.
