Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Brandywine is seeking a part-time program staff member for Upper Main Line YMCA in Berwyn, PA. You will plan and lead activities, maintain records, manage equipment, and ensure a safe environment for participants.

Responsibilities include promoting YMCA programs, communicating with families, and ensuring proper pick-up procedures. Minimal certifications required with on-the-job training and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of prior teaching or instructional experience.
• Training and qualifications in the specialized instruction area.
• Demonstrate ability to develop and teach skills.
• Ability to effectively use technology for programmatic needs.
• Obtain and maintain all new hires certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and lead specific activities, routines and/or games for all participants.
• Lead with enthusiasm and positive motivation in program.
• Organize and maintain program records including attendance records and rosters.
• Manage all equipment.
• Maintain a clean and risk-free environment.
• Communicate effectively and timely with program participants and parents.
• Ensure all children are picked up by a parent.
• Promote other YMCA programs by handing out brochures or referrals.
• Ensure compliance with all YGBW policies and SOPs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
