Job summary

Jewish Silicon Valley in Los Gatos, CA is seeking a part-time Dance Academy Instructor to teach youth and adults in a safe, engaging environment. This role supports the Dance Academy Coordinator and helps create/perform recitals while promoting proper technique and vocabulary.

Required are 4 years of dance experience and CPR/AED First Aid certification, plus strong communication and reliability for evening/weekend events. Minimum 1 year teaching experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year teaching experience preferred.
• 4 years of Dance experience required.
• Extensive training in various dance formats
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to teach and encourage all members
• Commitment to full series of classes at the APJCC

Responsibilities

• Instructing youth and adult dance class to APJCC members and guests
• Attend department meetings and continuing education classes to maintain qualifications
• Help keep the center well-stocked and really clean.
• Keep all equipment in good working condition.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly fitness studio environment, picking up towels, water bottles, etc.
