Job summary

A-B Tech in Asheville is seeking a part-time Training Coordinator to manage the customized training program (NCEdge). You will coordinate schedules, instructors, and resources, working with students, industry partners, and college staff to ensure timely delivery of training projects.

You will assist with curriculum development, documentation, and reporting, while building client relationships and contributing to workforce development efforts.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree required.
• Three years part-time or equivalent experience in public-facing role.
• Two years coordinating activities in a facility setting or managing duties.
• Experience with payables/receivables, procurement, and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for Customized Training projects and maintain communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Coordinate training schedules, plans, instructors, vendors, contracts, and class setup.
• Assist with curriculum development, instructional materials, activities, assessments, and classroom prep.
• Coordinate training registration and ensure completion of required documentation and records.
• Assist with training funding requests, project budgets, financial documentation, and year-end reporting.
• Collaborate with Director, Business Office, and EWD staff to meet funding and state requirements.
• Maintain project records, inventories, supplies, and resources.
• Build and maintain client relationships and facilitate status meetings.
• Assist with facility tours, orientations, job fairs, and other workforce activities.
• Participate in professional development for the department and college-wide.
• Contribute to College Vision, Mission, Values, and RISE statement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
